John Guzzardo is an associate attorney at Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC. Mr. Guzzardo concentrates his practice in corporate reorganization and bankruptcy litigation, representing debtors, creditors, committees, trustees and lenders in chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
In particular, Mr. Guzzardo has experience in matters involving executory contracts, debtor-side pre-trial litigation management, and the administration of employee benefit programs. During his tenure at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, Mr. Guzzardo was engaged extensively in that firm’s representation of an automotive parts supplier in Chapter 11.
Mr. Guzzardo graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004, Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. Guzzardo was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, the ATLA Trial Advocacy team, and the Honors Scholars Program. During this time, Mr. Guzzardo also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Senior Judge George W. Lindbergh of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
