Commercial Litigation
Ms. Scheller maintains a broad-based civil litigation practice, handling a variety of matters such as commercial disputes, fraud and business torts, deceptive business practices, labor and employment disputes, professional negligence, insurance coverage disputes and litigation related to bankruptcy. She has vast experience at all levels of litigation including investigation, discovery, arbitration, mediation, trial and appeal.
Specifically, Ms. Scheller has taken and defended hundreds of depositions as lead counsel, including expert and trial depositions. She has argued countless motions of all kinds, including complex dispositive motions, where she has enjoyed a very high level of success. She has acted as first or second chair for several jury trials where she achieved outstanding results. In addition, Ms. Scheller served as lead counsel in numerous arbitrations and mediations, successfully negotiated advantageous settlement agreements for her clients, and prevailed as lead counsel at the appellate level.
Ms. Scheller earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government and International Affairs from Augustana College in 2001, where she was inducted into the Omnicron Delta Epsilon economic honor society. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2004. During law school, Ms. Scheller served as a Philip H. Corboy Fellow in Trial Advocacy, and was a member of the Loyola University Chicago Trial Advocacy Team. Ms. Scheller was conferred the degree of Master of Business Administration with a Legal Emphasis from Loyola University Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2007.
