 The Commercial Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice
at Shaw Gussis is composed of attorneys with extensive experience
representing parties in complex bankruptcy and reorganization cases,
as well as receivership and out-of-court workouts. We provide advice
and counsel regarding all aspects of bankruptcy, reorganization,
creditors’ rights, insolvency, crisis management and related
transactions and litigation.
We have depth of experience in representing debtors in possession,
trustees, financial institutions, creditors, equity holders, landlords,
asset purchasers, plan liquidating and disbursing agents, creditors’ committees
and equity committees. We also have extensive experience in bankruptcy
litigation, including contested use of cash collateral, modification
of the automatic stay, commercial debt collection, preferences,
fraudulent conveyances and the purchase and sale of assets.

the United States, including the manufacturing, retail, entertainment, health care,
telecommunications and real estate industries.
